We at Punchi actors collaborated with The Cookie People, a home baker where 100% of the proceeds were given to a food programme to those whose earning capabilities were directly affected by the lockdown. We were able to help more than 40 families of apparel workers in Katunayake who were affected by Covid and unable to work. With the help of the charity bake sale and donations from the community, we were able to exceed our target and help more daily wage earners as well.
